I like the way you think, Captain. If more in the Dem Party believed as you do, there would be no reason for third parties. However, most of them don't think like you and ditto for the Repub Party. Burlington is an interesting town politically and I think their mayor does a tremendous job. Clavelle is surely up to something with his bridge-building between the Progs and the Dems. Maybe he wants to be Mayor of Vermont? I'd vote for him.
