Assigning labels promotes separation and misunderstanding. We are not liberals or conservatives or crats and cans, we are all Vermonters with a stake in what happens to us and to our state. Perhaps we could work more closely together if other states simply minded their own business, as we do. As this holiday season gears up, I hope we can find new ways to honor and respect one another's opinions and ideals. We were not created to be alike or think alike or have the same preferences. We were intended to be unique individuals. To criticize and downgrade others for their opinions is counterproductive, let's do better this year. Happy Holidays!
