Before you conclude that the jobs at the Dept. of Ed in Montpelier and Berlin come fancy digs, hot babe secretaries and gold-plated coffee pots, I suggest that you visit those offices. Having walked through those spaces a few times I do not recall any of the three!

Aha, a home schooler. Now maybe we are getting to the root of your anger. While the large majority of home schoolers have enjoyed a friendly and comfortable relationship with the Dept of Ed, there are a few who have complained bitterly and angrily because there has been an expectation that they as home schoolers should meet at least minimal standards. Most home schoolers are wonderful people doing a great job. There are a few exceptions!
