Subject: Liberal Left Mantra Does Not Play Well In "Red States"



If one looks at the map of the United States, after the election of 2000, one will so note the county by county breakdown. The "red states" or "red counties" carried by then Republican candiate; Geroge Bush shows as fact. Seven out of then rural couuties across this country was carried by Bush. There were exceptions like Apache County in Arizona in which Albert Gore carried. This county makes up the eastern Painted Desert of Arizona. Next to this county sits Navajo County. This county was carried by George Bush in election 2000.
The urban counties known as the "blue counties" was carried by Albert Gore by 85%. Still liberals are trying to push an agenda on rural counties that won't see within these counties. This includes gun-control which is often associated with failure. Even in urban Los Angeles County or Los Angeles city, the liberal city council has pushed for gun-control bills in the city council, even though gang activity has produced 500 additional new shootings in this year, 2002. The liberals want to push for more "sensible" gun-control laws in Los Angeles. These laws lead to disarming the law abiding and does not solve the crime problem.
In truth, gun-controllers are NOT the solution to the problem as much as they ARE the problem. Cities that have the strongest gun-control laws are crime ridden cities with the highest crime rates. This includes the crime infested city of Oakland. Law enforcement in Oakland and the county (Alameda) that makes up Oakland acknowledges the most dangerous area (Dogtown) near Interstate 880 has the highest amount of robberies, rape, shootings, knivings and thefts. This is a perfect example of gun-control and liberal "politically correctness" gone mad.
