Bulldog might be right. Freed is probably stretching his vote count considerably. However, prdicting the outcome of this Speacker's election is dangerous.

Some think if Freed was really smart he would withdraw. This would leave both houses of the legislature in Democratic hands and give the Republicans the opportunity to blame all legislative inaction, bad legislation or stalemate on the Dems. With Freed as the Speaker and Douglas in the Governor's office, the Republicans will be blamed for everything that the voters don't like these next two years.
