Ted, You were a very wise parent. Our daughter has never married. Our son was at one time engaged to a young lady of which we had a major concern. I know what you mean about praying from the sideline. Thankfully, that was dissolved when our son realized they were not going to be equally yoked and broke off the engagement. I rejoiced for I felt it was an answer to prayer. Later he met, and married such a wonderful young woman; and they now have five children. If we had searched the world over, we could not have found a better wife for our son. That too was an answer to prayer.

I have spent time with various women who have emotional scars because of the verbal abuse and even physical abuse received by their so-called husbands. I believe our society is casting aside absolutes and moral values in exchange for doing whatever you feel like doing. We will surely reap the results for that.
