Another had watched the exchange, and now watches her retreat. Saddness crosses his gaze as he listens to her, and he longs to leave his temporary abode to speak with her, and to listen. But no...he remains fastened to the shadows that cloak the trees, his brilliant green eyes closing as his dear friend fades into the distance. Pain rivets through him, though not of the physical kind, but that of the heart. His heart bleeds with the burning desire to return to his homeland. For countless moments he remains still, his senses turned to the wind as he allows the night to absorb him fully.

He is now truly a lone wolf.
