Quiz Night without repetition, deviation or hesitation to raise a laugh for Lingfield and Dormansland Community Centre

Lingfield Town Crier and Judge, Hon Charles Byers will be joined by former On the Buses star Hal Dyer (Shirley Robbins), Lingfield wit Gerry Loney and hot from the UK tour of the Importance of Being Earnest - actor Jim Alexander as they participate on the Just a Minute panel at Lingfield and Dormansland Community Centre’s Quiz Night on Saturday 3 December 2011, 7.00pm.
Hosted by local quizmaster Paul Pirie (pictured) the evening will be a fundraising event of two halves. The first half will be a chance for local quiz teams to pit their wits against each other in a fast and furious ‘on the buzzer’ style quiz. Then after savouring some refreshment the panel of local leading lights will play Just a Minute, taking it in turns to wax lyrical for 60 seconds on various subjects without hesitation, deviation or repetition.
Paul says, ‘Next year Just a Minute celebrates 45 years of radio broadcasts and so with the kind permission of the format owner, Malcolm Messiter, we aim to provide a Lingfield version that pays tribute to this endearing show and our aim is to be as entertaining’.

Tickets are priced at £10 and will include a super supper. Teams of eight can be pre booked by calling Lingfield and Dormansland Community Centre on 01342 833 893 or by emailing enquires@lingfieldcentre.org

‘Singletons, pairs, triplets are all welcome as we can always make-up teams on the night’.
