Hello, my name is jayson and I have a question regarding the jamisola family. Are the jamisola's some how all related or is the jamisola name as common as "gomez"? The reason why I ask this is that the majority of jamisola's i know trace their roots back to bohol. my grandfather told me that Jamisola's transmigrated from leyte to bohol during the spanish era. as to cagampang, I have heard our families are intertwined, how is this? I have been to Pagadian city and noticed both are last names on streets and buildings. i was not born far from pagadian. i have also heard stories of our forefathers burying treasure in pagadian where it was once their land, but from the stories i have heard, the family began to sell off the land not knowing what lay beneath the soil, and by the time the treasure were discovered it was to late. My grandfather was from bohol, and he tells me of jagna however very little. I tried to get as much information on the family history from my grandfather before he passed away, but all he told me was that 3 brothers were on the run from the spaniards. they moved from leyte to bohol, then one went to mindanao. if anyone else could shed some light or share some info regarding our family history, feel free to email me. thanks
