In the midst of Uni's flogging of Dapto, a rare moment of sporting magic should be remembered. With the Books tearing the Canaries to shreads, 'Slick' Mick Lenarduzzi stumbled through the Dapto defence as players fell off him, somehow a pass went to ground in the middle of several player, Lenarduzzi, obviuosly tiring of scoring tries and running long distances, kicked the ball ahead, with nobody at home at the back for the Canaries. Suddenly the Jukebox's large melon appeared on the scene, and with the rolled up sleeves showing the gleaming biceps off nicely in the setting sun over the mountains, the musashi bar gang and team vision barred up as Jukebox strode toward the goal line after the bouncing ball. As Woodford was preparing to pounce on the ball, and continue his try pinching season in oursuit of trophy glory, visions of an exploding pineapple took control of his distorted mind, and Jukebox produced footwork that Daffy Duck would be proud of, as with legs flailing, he somehow managed to botch the easiet of tries, providing even the tearful Dapto supporters with a moment of mirth.
This was obviously one of many highlights for the Books on Saturday, with a great win with so many injured. A specially convened team meeting at a secret day spa location in the shire by Chad 'I got that question right' Brustolin, and the metrosexual Brustolin brothers, produced the right mental attitude. Never before has the spiritual home of the dishlickers seen so many male atheletes, strutting in catwalk fashion, flexing and stretching at any interval, nor so many glistening muscles ripling in the afternoons golden glow. Team Vision and the musashi bar gang found their valahala at dapto of all places!!
A written application will be lodged by the players to the Books committee to remove the pavilion and dressing room building from the western side of uni oval, which casts a shadow over the playing field, as their is a real belief now that the boys will produce thier best in a sunny 'Baywatch' style environment.
