your right there buddy! there were some pretty harsh and deadset wierd calls made against both sides in that game. i guess at least this time it was consitently shit for both teams rather than the usual way things go with port being on the wrong end of every 50/50 or suspect call. anyway what a great day at noel mullo! a crowd the size of most other clubs annual gate numbers in one day, three grades getting up by only 10 points combined, and one of the best things was seeing that top dog d.doraghy copping it from the hill. i don't know wether it was the crowd putting him of or wether his foot has been in his mouth all week and not practicing kicking cause those custard legs of his seemed to be shaking as he lined up every attempt. it was good to see him leave the shit out of the game though, i guess he realised that the game was tough enough as it was and the last thing he would have wanted to do was fire the boys up anymore! one incident late in the game also shows how much a great crowd can be worth. collies had just taken the lead 20-14 when as the dogs walked back to await the kick off No. 12 for the dogs (Forrester?)started gesturing to the locals hill(north east corner). well this fired the crowd right up and we give it to him and what happened....he has gone in for a hit up on the second takle off the kick off and had the biggest look ever and dropped it cold!! within the next one or two sets port were in to level it and then go on to win. so its a good lesson...don't give the blacks faithfull any extra incentive to give it to you or your day at noel mullo may get blacker and blacker!! GO U BLACKS!!!!!!!!
