Considering the fact that Port haven't had any legitimate 18's team for well over five years until last year's and this year's teams, it's not a surprise that there are only five juniors in first grade and eight juniors/port locals in reserve grade (still not too bad). The aim was always to build a side to which Port juniors could aspire to play in. We've got a great bunch of juniors coming through now who over the years will fill many of the first and reserve grade spots. Hopefully Port will get to the position Corrimal are in where just about all grade players are juniors/locals. Port don't spend nearly as much as some of the other clubs in the league as some would like to think.
