Just a few rounds into the comp and already the ill informed start bleating about Avondale. The dollars are gone and rightly or wrongly so have the nucleus of the team. Two second rowers, a prop and the lock...a centre, five eighth, half back and winger have either moved clubs, changed codes or retired. Compare last years programme to this and see. Personally I think it's for the best, but let's not continue slagging off out of habit. This years committee has done a great job with all the internal turmoil to field a side, get sponsors etc...and win games, although getting away with a couple of close ones....can't recall much biff either.
