You obviously aren't aware of the history of the "amateur" cup. It is there for clubs who can't afford to compete in the League. Berkley, Port and the Burg have used this grade to keep themselves afloat and I'm telling you now without the Tooheys Cup as a sort of safety net clubs could easily disappear if they run into trouble.
If the Tooheys cup shouldn't exist because of it's lower standards than why do we bother with a Tooheys League, the NRL is of such a higher standard.... We play, watch and support local footy because we love its traditions, characters and slagging the neighbours.
With your attitude Carlton I don't know why you are here. Why don't you go check out the Broncos website, they love a clown as clear of tradition and as arragant as yourself.
