Well, in what may be the biggest comeback since alfie langer, i recently received inside info that two of thirrouls "biggest" legends are set to pull on the boots for another season. The Jones brothers, brett and dean, were recently seen doing beach sprints in their sluggos down at the pumphouse. "It wasnt a pretty sight" says my informant"Both boys are carrying a bit and were both sweating and wheezing badly after a few short sprints". My spies also tell me that dean was reliving his glory days of being the world beach flag champion. "He had his medals around his neck as he strolled along the promenade at thirroul beach, and was asking little kids if they even knew who he was and if they wanted his autograph". Brett however was quite happy to cover himself up when a crowd started gathering. With the losses of couchman and beath to rep duties, bretts trademark move , fatass , may be relived. Dean is also frothing at the mouth at the prospct of playing inside Glen Air. In their younger days, these cousins were very competitive, and dean would be keen to silence any knockers who beleive he is finished.The club has contacted troy green and tony paniora to try and get a pair of shorts to fit this dynamic duo.
