Thirrouls World Country Champion Center and Representive Winger Todd "Knuckles" Grose has again raise eyebrows at Gibson Park, Knuckles a well known hard man on and off the Paddock has been spotted training with a well known local boxer, knuckles has always fancied himself in the ring and like some of rugby leagues elite players have in the past has threatened to give away our great game for the glitzy and glamour life style of a boxer.
To add fuel to these rumours, after Thirrouls win against the dogs on Satureday, Knuckles proceded to party to the wee hours of the night visiting several local Hotels, it was reported that his behaviour and dress was that of a Boxer, he was spotted Shadow boxing at the Ryans Hotel, Ducking and weaving at Corrimal Pub and mouthing off at fellow customers with comments such as , "i am the Greatest", "You can't hit what you can't catch" and "i can't be beaten. The last statement as the night went on was clearly a mistake, Knuckles was repremanded by staff several timesand at this point the night turned sour for the self proclaimed "The next Big Thing", Knuckles attacked 2 security guards and laid them both out with a flurry of punches but theses brutal exchanges took it's toll very quickly on the Champ, out of breath and looking very sluggish, knuckles was in no state to take care of the third security guard, who happened to be a women and was beaten within an inch of his life by this women, clearly showing that any thoughts of a career in the ring may need prolonging until futher work can be done on the heavy bag, Thirroul officials hope the physical and mental scares will be mended in time for the wollongong game this week.
