First, I am so thankful that there is a Holy Ghost filled person out there that knows about this stuff AND has the courage to put it out there. Thanks.

Now (this feels ridiculous, but here it goes)- can you personally tell the difference b/w the Holy Ghost and an angel? I just want to make sure I get this right b/c, you know, we're not supposed to worship angels. I'll give you a couple of stories and maybe a scripture to work with.

In high school my church had this overnight prayer meeting that I went to and after playing around and hanging out in the girls bathroom, I entered the sanctuary and felt a very strong presence. It felt sharp and...like a constant laser or focused beem of light shooting inside of me. I thought it was another manifestation of God so I secretly watched three men of God come together near the alter and talk. It turns out it was an angel!

The other week I was walking up the stairs in my house and it was stronger than that time at the sanctuary (because that time I could just walk around in the back of the sanctuary and pretend I was praying). This time, it was so strong I had to stop and it felt like it wanted a response from me so I said, "Maybe" because I didn't know if I could go forward if I didn't say anything.

There's some scripture that use the term 'lightning' to describe how it feels:

Matthew 28:2-4
And behold there was a great earthquake. For an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and coming, rolled back the stone, and sat upon it.And his countenance was as lightning, and his raiment as snow. And for fear of him, the guards were struck with terror, and became as dead men.

Uh...hm, that's the only one I could find right off of the bat but the reason why I ask is because when the Lord manifests sometimes, His, I dunno, 'scent' or the word that comes to mind to describe His presence may be Holy (like in the chapel in Annapolis), Sweet (like at my home church), or Powerful (like at the sanctuary near the overpass one town over). When He manifests powerfully, it feels almost the same. Like, it's strong but sweet at the same time. Do you know what I mean?

Now that I'm writing this, I think I might know the difference. For me- when He comes strongly, it's sweet at the same time. But when it's an angel, it's just strong. Like 'don't mess with me' strong. What about you? Or do you know anyone who has a clearer understanding? 'Cause I'm trying to be cautious; I don't want to worship an angel and, you know, Satan can come as an angel of light.
