I have a neighbour who has a blue badge and has had a "personal" disabled parking space made by the local council out side her house. She is a retired lady known for kicking up a stink over most things. The local belief is that she has made such a fuss that these disabled facilities have been given to her to keep her quiet. However, she is not disabled. She shops at John Lewis, more than 1/2 a mile away, returning with bags in both hands. She goes out for walks, alone, and with friends. In good weather she gets her drop handle bar bicycle out for a ride. She has a local authority allotment that she digs herself..... I truly rejoice at her good health but not at her appalling abuse of the blue badge scheme. One of my other neighbours wrote to the local authority who promised to investigate. The next news was the appearance of the lady's new blue badge, replacing her orange one. How can this abuse be stopped without placing myself if the firing line of her vicious abuse? Your advise would be much appreciate - I know the rules. I have MS and a Blue Badge myself!
