Subject: Rockford - June 11th

Greetings All! Here are the details for the upcoming event at Rockford Cemetery, in Lamar County. The cemetery is about 5 miles SE of Paris. This will be this Sunday.
The festivities are scheduled to start at 11AM, with Lunch at Noon, and a business meeting afterward at 1 PM. I know this is early, which is why I have obtained camping permission for us Saturday night. Yes, come on out Sat. afternoon or evening and enjoy the first (that I know of) Confederate Grays camp. There should be a nice moon out too.
The lunch last year was very good; we will be guests of course. Here's how to get out to the place:
Take I 30 East from Dallas;
Take Hwy. 50/Hwy. 24 North to Commerce;
Take Hwy. 24 North to Cooper, and continue on 24 toward Paris.
After crossing the North Sulphur River (Lamar County Line), start looking for Road 1184. Take a right on this road.
You'll go about 1/4 of a mile and come to a T-intersection. Turn Left.
Go about 2 miles and turn right onto Road 1497. There is a large old house on the left.
Follow 1497 9 miles to Rockford. Go thru the town of Bairdstown. The cemetery is on the right side of the road where the road curves to the left.
It shouldn't be hard to see it, since the cemetery is bigger than the town now! There will be flags out.
Hope to see a lot of y'all there. Capt. Furlow and I are trying to round up some cavalry and artillery.
If you're planning to camp, be sure and bring plenty of food and water for Sat. night because this place is really out in the middle of nowhere and the closest store and gas station is in Paris!
Let me know if there are any questions. Thank You all.

Honor & Serve:
1st Sgt. Ben Hatch
