Gentlemen,

On Saturday, September 27th, 2008 at 2:00 pm there will be a marker dedication for Corporal Joshua Crow of Co. I, 19th Texas Infantry. The ceremony will take place at the Zion Hill cemetery south of Henderson, near Brachfield.

There is camping space there, and I will be arriving Friday afternoon, September 26th to set camp. The Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church is right across the road, and I've been told that they are pretty good about leaving the church open for restrooms, changing, etc. Good country people. They will trust us to keep the church safe throughout the night, which given some of our past endeavours should make for quite a nice time. There is one house at the church. I don't know if that's the pastor or not. There are hugh oak and pine trees and some picnic tables at the cemetery. Plenty of room for an encampment.

To get to the location, take Highway 840 east out of Henderson to County Road 368. Take a right on 368 and you will find the church and cemetery about a mile away. My cell phone is as dead as Lincoln right now, but hoipefully I'll have that problem rectified before the dedication. The best way to reach me is by email.

So mark your calenders, fellows! We got a good camp-out and dedication to do. Please let me know if you plan to attend.

Your Obedient Servant,

Capt. Preston Furlow, Commanding
R.E. Lee Bivouac, Order of Confederate Gray
