Gentlemen and Your Ladies,

Here is hoping that all had a grand, safe, and a Very Merry Christmas. I pray that it was one for the record books for each of you and that all enjoyed heartfelt comfort and joy of spending the time with loved ones. I wish each and every one of you the very best in the coming year; may it find you busy storing the crops, rather than chasing away crows!

Mark on your calenders the date of April 18th, 2009. On this day at 1:00 pm, at Evergreen cemetery in Lipan, Texas, we will be providing the Guard of Honor for Private Henry Pleasant Tuggle of Co. I, 10th Texas Infantry. He was one of the boys that made the charge at Franklin, and lived.

There are a couple of ways to get there. One is to go to the square in Granbury, take highway 4 from there to Thorpe Spring. Go through Thorpe Spring towards Lipan. Just before you get to Lipan, you will see the sign for Evergreen road going to your right. Take this road and follow it down to the cemetery. The other way to go is to take I-20 west to 281. Go south (left) on 281 to the intersection with Highway 4. There are flashing yellow lights at this intersection. Take a left onto Highway 4, go through Lipan, and Evergreen Road and cemetery will be on your left outside of town.

Call or email me if you have any questions. My very best to each and every one of you, and I look forward to serving with you again soon!

YOS,

Capt. Preston Furlow
