Subject: New Event- Granbury Cemetery Walk

Hello all; I hope that all is well with you and your families.
We have an upcoming event that really sounds great. The Order of Confederate Gray will be the Honor Guard for the Granbury Cemetery Walk, at the gravesite of Gen. Hiram Granbury, in Granbury Texas.
This will occur May 29th, 2005 starting at 3 PM. Its on a Sunday afternoon. Some of you may know where the General is buried, it is the small cemetery north of the town square on Hwy. 51 I was told. Complete directions will follow soon.
The program is planned as follows: the Confederate Grays will escort a group of visitors to the General's gravesite, where there will be a short presentation. The Grays will then fire a salute to the General, and escort the group out and bring in another. This may last for about 3 hours, or until visitors run out.
This sounds like a great event: serving as the Honor Guard for a fallen Confederate general is as close to the core of what the Order of Confederate Gray is all about as it can get. The sponsor of the event has heard of us, and is excited that we are helping out. So lets really turn out a Guard for the General and the town, what say?
More details will follow as I get them. Let me please start getting a count of how many rifles we will have so I can pass that info on to the event organizers.
