We couldn't have asked for better weather. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing and the flags were flying. The dedication cermony for Sgt Nimrod T. Coffee went well without deviation. As we have planned and walked through so many times, the service/ceremony was great. The numbers in ranks could have been better, but as usual, there were the ones there that always come to show reverence and devotion to the cause. The cause that we stand for has been and will always be, HONOR AND SERVE. The cermonies we perform have been and will always will be to do just that. At this particular ceremony, there was a young lady from a local high school that gave a solomn rendition of taps for Sgt Coffee. While she was playing, the flags were popping in the wind and an aura of pride and revenence was felt by all present. We thank her for being there and invited her to attend any ceremony we do in the future. I would like to thank a new member, Pat Emmert, for firing our single volly for the veteran. Pat joined us at Belmead two weeks ago.
Thank you to all who attended.
YOS HONOR AND SERVE
Sgt Dan Hastings, Adj.
