Gentlemen and Your Ladies,

First, you might have noticed a change in my email address. As I have finally got my household moved into a new house in Waxahachie and have changed ISP's, my new address is irish_reb@sbcglobal.net. My new phone number is 972-923-1543. Cell phone is the same at 254-396-0870.

Now for the good stuff. Summer has set in and everything has slowed down. I expect things will pick up when the weather cools down. But for the meantime, it is my pleasure to announce the promotion of 1st Sgt Tom McDonough to Sgt. Major, Sgt. Bob Looney to 1st Sgt., Adjutant Tom Bennett to Sgt., and Cpl. Ben Hatch to Sgt.
Gentlemen, you have proven yourselves in times of need as men to rely upon, and as our organization continually grows, it will need it's NCO's as badly as it needs the men of the ranks. Congratulations gentlemen!

The coming months will see us hitting Blackland cemetery again in our continuing clean up effort. As well, I have found four men that need mentioning. First, my 3rd Great Grandfather Henry P. Tuggle, Co. I, 10th Texas Infantry. He is buried in Dallas county, the exact cemetery I've yet to learn. I wish to find him and at least put a Southern Cross at his grave if he already has a Confederate marker.
James Monroe Biffle, Co. H, 12th Texas Infantry. He was my 3rd Great Granduncle (Henry's brother-in-law). He is buried in Whitney cemetery, and has no Confederate designation at his grave. His brother, William Biffle, was the bugler for Co. E, 8th Texas Cavalry Battalion. He is buried in Durant, Oklahoma. And finally, George W. Woodall, Pvt, Co.D, 14th Texas Cavalry. He was a recipient of the Confederate Medal of Honor, and is buried in Frederick, Oklahoma. I would like for us to do something for the boys in Texas, and make it a voluntary thing for the two in Oklahoma as it is a bit more than a Sunday drive. If any of you have found ancestors that are in need of a headstone or Cross dedication, please speak up. That's what we are here for.

Take care of yourselves, stay cool and drink lots of water. I look forward to seeing every one of you again soon!

YOS,

Lt. Preston Furlow
