Second, I would like to comment on the 9th Tx Military Ball, which evidenced numerous members of the OCG troops. I must compliment all of the ladies and gentlemen in attendance. Our soliders of the OCG as well as members representing other regiments, comported themselves in the finest of the souther military traditions to which we all hold dear. The gentlemen were most handsome and the ladies in attendance were quite lovely and sttod true to their southern heritages, quite the southern belles of legend. The 9th Texas regimental band provided the loveliest and liveliest of dance tunesand our most handsomest and equally charming as well as beautiful hostess of the evening, were Lt. Thom Stuart and his lovely lady Mrs. Cindy Stuart. Mrs. Sturart not only served as hostess, but provided the dance instruction for the evenings sets, which consisted of 3 dance sets. Light refreshments were served during the breaks between each dance set and was enjoyed throughly by all. Our compliments to the YWCA staff for the lovely provisions for the vanquished dancers and the beautiful building was a sight to behold. A very romantic evening was enjoyed by all. Our finest and warmest regards to our hostess and host.
