The Stock Show parade just keeps getting better and better for us. Thanks to those men of the 7th Texas Infantry, the 9th Texas Infantry and the 12th Texas Infantry for coming and helping us out! And to the musicians, you were the gravy on the bisquits! You sounded great. Ladies, thank you for bringing the grace, beauty and elegance Southern Ladies are famous for. I understand that we made a powerfully moving impression, and each one of you are the reason.
Sunday at Cool Springs Church was cold and wet, but definately bearable when considering why we were there. The Grays were assisted by men from the 12th Texas Cavalry, who came as infantry. There were several other men from the north Texas area that impressively made the trip to stand in the drizzle and cold, to honor those boys who bore far worse for far longer. The ladies of the UDC and of the Grays were as wonderful as ever. It is always a pleasure to serve in such company.
The only improvements needed that I saw from the Stock Show Parade are on my part. I'm definately learning. I concur with Pvt Hatch that the reforming of the ranks from graveside might need a bit of polish. We had some new fellows that had not practiced that move before. So for you newer fellows that fell in, come on back and we'll get it done next time!
I deeply appreciate everyone coming out to honor those valiant soldiers both in Ft. Worth and in Tundra. I look forward to the next opportunity. Until then, I remain,

YOS, To Honor and Serve,

Lt. Preston Furlow
