Subject: After Action Report Page 2#

The ladies of the UDC ,and other guest joined hands and sang"DIXIE",as is their custom. This concluded the offical celebration of Texas Confederate heroes Day,however!!!,the Grays were far from through for the day. As the attendeesbegain leaving, the Grays marched off through the cemetary,to honor the service of six 9th Texas and one 5th texas men buried there.Ther is one 9th Texas veteran who does not have a confederate marker.WE,in the Grays, will see that this oversite is corrected as soon as possible. At the gravesite of each of the selected 9th and 5th Texas veteran. We stopped and held a brief ceremony. The veterans name and company were read aloud, and Chaplin Newman said a brief prayer over the veterans grave.Following this ,we fired a volley in the veterans honor. This ceremony was repeated six times,as we visited the graves of these Confederate Patriots. Some 45 minutes later,we marched back to the Confederate memorial where it had all begun, earlier.Lt Arrick and SMJR Dunn thanked us for our paticipation...and devotion to the cause. Then we all went our seperate ways..It was a GREAT day for THE ORDER OF CONFEDERATE GRAY.We were both noticed and appricated!May ther be many more such days,as our reputation spreads througout Texas.... and the entire country! FORWARD THE COLORS !!!! Respectfully summited SGT Bob Looney ORDER OF CONFEDERATE GRAY
