Subject: April 20th Marker Dedication

Gentlemen,
My Great Grandfather's Confederate marker has arrived and has been placed at his grave. I would like to have a dedication ceremony on April 20th.

The grave is in the Strouds Creek Cemetery, about 3 miles north of Tolar on Highway 56. To get there, take 377 out of Granbury west toward Stephenville, until you get to Tolar. The Tolar Methodist Church is on the corner of 377 and 56, so turn right at the church.

The details are yet to be worked out completely, but I want this to be a Grays event, naturally. The flags of my Great Grandfather's regiment will be available to post or to carry.

Mr. Newman, I would greatly appreciate any and all assistance you could give in arranging for musicians. I'll never forget the ceremony in Maypearl, and the terrific job you and the fellows did there, and would be honored to have you put some tunes in the air at this one.

Any ideas are welcome, and invited. Take care, gentlemen, and I shall see you very soon.

To Honor and Serve,

Preston Furlow
