hey matt, thanks for responding. sorry if it gets to you so much that i say open your mind i just dont understand why people see the need to put ideas down it just seems kinda mean to me. everything you said i've already heard from people. the main issue is money as anybody would be able to see. that's why we need people backing this so we can do fund raisers and such which yeah is only going to bring in a little bit of money compared to what we need but that's why public relations is a wonderful thing : ) how good is it going to make business look if their donating money to a cause to help out kids? this is a unique idea, if we can get the daily herald to write an article on it something tells me it's going to look even more appealing to a business to jump on the band wagon ya know? it's going to take a lot of sponsors donating products and money, a lot of kids donating time and support, and a lot of people being assholes to stop others from atleast trying. i've already talked to somebody about the costs of running/maintaining a place like that and it'd be around the same cost as running it as a theater was. which isnt cheap but can be done. it'd cost you about 5 dollars to get in for shows. as far as security goes, the place wouldnt be swarmed with it. yeah there'd be rules, just like any other business you need to realize you cant run around and be stupid, but it wont be like "hey that kid is crowd surfing kick him out" the odds of a skate park are slim to none but it's just an idea. if you really would like to know more instead of making assumptions off the base facts e mail me at rudolph32369@hotmail.com and or instant message me at rudolph32369 i can tell ya how much it would cost to run, how much it would cost to get in, all that jazz. we need everybody we can get to back this idea up man, and as somebody that seems to be a part of the music scene as much as you are i'd think that you'd be diggin the new idea for a new venue. thanks a lot for asking though i'm glad i could clear those things up for everybody. and remember any questions, ideas or anything e mail me at rudolph32369@hotmail.com thanks a lot everybody and take it easy. ~ John
