Subject: TBL UPDATE Author: Associated Press [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 10/26/04 6:39pm Grizzly Vet Out of Retirement Associated Press 10/26/2004 After undergoing a record 5th Tommy John surgery it looks like TBL Veteran Jared Nicastro is scraping coming out of retirement scraping himself off the scrap heap for TBL's 10th anniversary season. When AL Manager Chris Niesz heard the news he would be regaining the cagey veteran to his roster he had this to say, "Last time he played he was 0-5 with 3 strikeout and grounded into a double play, we're thrilled to have him back!" In other news Joe Cardaccio has requested a trade and the rumor is he will be dealt to the NL for Greg Douglas. Cardaccio clashed with AL manager Chris Niesz because Niesz did not understand how to properly warm up the fiesty left hander. Douglas is on the outs with NL Manager Bryan Cobb after being distracted with off the feild issues and not living up to his hefty contract. Possible expansion has been proposed in TBL's 10th anniversary season with the possible inception of the CL, no not the Confederate League but the Chinese League. Baseball in Japan has grown in tremendous popularity, in the same fashion TBL has exploded on to the scene in Chinese culture. The CL roster consists as following: Dan Yip 1B, Crazy Eddie 3B, Jackie Chan OF, and Paul Morro P. Sean Moroney is currently in the market for buying the NL. Last year the NL got into financial trouble for shelling out big bucks to Greg Douglas, Jon Cresci and they are still paying off Paul Luini's contract. Moroney is allegedly ready to pay off the NL's debts in exchange for wnership of the team. The Associated Press will be watching this situation closely.
