Hey- I think i heard that the older bucks loose there antlers first because of stress from the rut? Not sure how true, but thought I would comment. We just got some snow (enough to cover a shed) up here and was wondering if most people still go out in hope to find one on top of the snow or wait until spring when most snow is gone and more sheds are visible. Wondering if I should wait, but I got the itch.
I saw a small fork horn and a 6 pionter over the weekend with both antlers. Good luck
Flick
