I'm holding off for the same reason you are my friend...I would stay outta thickets until snow is gone a bit more...don't want to stress the critters out until its easy for them to just get outta your way and move back in after you pick up all their antlers. Good news is once the snow melts a bit more, the deer should leave more bone in a concentrated area as this bad winter keeps them stacked in one area fairly tight to a reliable food source.
