hi doug. sorry about the bad luck.I live in n.e. Iowa and have put in a total of 30 hours sheddin in since last week.
i have only one shed that i can say dropped this year. a small left side of a 8 point. still had blood on the base. i found one shed from last year i found frosted in the ground and another that was fresh, but was brokeoff not shed. i have had my luck in setaside fields, overlooking a hot food source, cut corn. not on any fencelines at all, just on the deer trails in the tall stuff. have also not produced in any woods or bedding areas, but i check there often because you never know where you might find one! I also have seen atleast 5 bucks still holding on to headgear, so we are a little early, but give it time and keep looking. the one who looks all the time is the one who is going to find some nice sheds.
