Subject: Iowa Sheds

Has anyone in Iowa had any luck yet, or even seen bucks w/out antlers? I went out 2 days this week saw no bucks, found a 80 inch non-typ from last but no fresh sheds. I have recently seen several bucks w/ both antlers still attached.

A tractor or combine drove over the non-typ that I found and had pushed it (tines down) into the ground so that only the main beam was exposed. It took me an hour to extract the shed from the frozen ground. I couldn't figure out why it was so hard to get out until I saw that every single tine had a 4 inch fork at the top G1 through G4. If this ever happens to you take out your water bottle and pour water around the antler.

Good luck and thanks for any info you can give me.
