Subject: Old Age by E Keary (classic poem set to music listen online)

Surely the ravages of old age particularly for those who have been in younger years blessed with great beauty can be even harsher than for those of us just blessed with modest features. But as the processes of age take from all of us our mobility and physical attractiveness then we perhaps have just one hope left to us that come our passing our lifeforces shall be freed once again to drift off to re-invigorate and play its part in the perpetual reincarnation and beautification of our universe.
Heres the link to the page where you can listen online to this and many other classic poems set to music...

Old Age

Such a wizened creature
Sitting alone;
Ever kind of uglieness thrown
Into each feature

"I wasnt always so"
Said the wizened
One; "sweet motions unimprisoned
Were mine long ago.'

And again, 'I shall be---
At least something
Out of this outside me, shall wing
Itself fair and free.'
