I recently recieved a Garmin nuvi GPS for Christmas. In trying it out I find that it will sometimes take me exactly to my destination, and at others just gets me close. For example: I entered an address I know to be correct. It took me into the subdivision and then told me to turn left rather than right. It told me I had arrived, when in reality my destination was behind me maby a sixteenth of a mile. In another situation I put in an address and when almost there, it told me to turn right into my destination. In reality I should have turned left.
In yet another I was told I had arrived at my destination on the right, when in reality it was still about another 1/8 of a mile on the right. At other times it will put me exactly on target. Is this normal, or should I take it back? Are other brands better?
