sorry this response has been a long time coming I will not be so tardy in the future. have you gone ahead and got your pei yet? I would suggest that if this dog is to be pet then it should be desexed this should minimise many of the reasons that dogs fight (Heirachy, sexual competition). Depending on what your fathers Dals's are I would suggest to go for the opposite sex in the pei (if possible)...usually more harmonious that way.
