we have the most buetiful shar-pei Lola, who is now two. when she was very small she got very sick I took her to our vet who nothing about Shar-pei fever. The breeder was not much help she wanted to give me my money back, and for us to return the puppy. No way she was now our baby so I got on to the web and most of the information I found was from the U.S. No one in England seend to know very much. She did seem to recover, but ever now and again she would get a fever find it difficult to stand go off her food and have tummy problems. in August this year she was taken so ill she had to go into hospital , this time the recovery has been much slower. When she came home I knew she had changed my puppy was gone forever, she had no energy did not want to eat and was asleep most of the time. She lost weight I took her back to the vets who did more test and told us her results were off the scale. why she was alive no one knew. Accourding to the test she should have died. He said she will not live much longer she has 98% kidney damage. She is at home with us where she is most happy. she sleeps, eats a little but it wont be long......
