Can't talk? Let's see what we can do about that. A good thing that always helps me if I'm trying to discribe my horse is to have a picture of one. I have a blown up Robert Vavra Horse picture sitting on my computer desk that works wonders. Just look at it a moment, try and discribe in as many words as you can what you see. Here first is what I could write, but there isn't much feeling in it...

The white stallion stood.

But see what I can do with that four word sentence with just a little creativity...

Ex. He was a steed of magnifisnt form. A silver banner (tail) wrapped to the bottom of his well muscled limbs reaching nearly the tips of his onyx (black) colored hooves. He carried his neck with all the pride and confidance of a fairytale knight. His mane was an ivory (white) casacde of a silken crown...ect, ect.

See how that completely changes the picture? A thesuarus is another useful tool. Use it for everything if you must. Begin with white, look it up, what do you find? Maybe something like Ivory, Alabaster, Snow, Cream, ect. And then move to Stallion, or even Male. See how it works?
