I thought the scene was doing fine myself until I started seeing all these these new kids come out and try and crash the party...what started to happen was an outside group came in to preach and give others an idea of what myself and my friends are all about...these new kids beliefs/songs/image were based on understanding...which would make them personal and individual...in science one would know before they believe...in religion it would be believe before you know...No one really needs to hear or discuss any of this at a punk show...I think the way people dress is probably one of the only things half these kids have in common anymore...I could be the biggest religious wacko there is but you would never know that unless you asked me personally...not by spraypainted crufixes on my leather and bible verses on the drum head...that last post by that unionstrike guy about kneeling and going to hell is EXACTLY what you will get if you question any one of these kids for less than a minute...so you know what's cool...I like a lot of different bands and yeah some of them have christian members...some make occasional mentions of god in their lyrics...Raybeez from Warzone was a christian and I really looked up to him...Anti Heros have mentioned god in thier lyrics...I'm sure there are way more but anyway those people weren't banging the shit over your head like I see now...I certainly don't think better of a band who writes a ton of songs about satan...I try and get along with everone but it is clear who is gonna start yelling and making no sense after less than a minute of talking to them...Or people who are gonna come up to me when I am minding my own business eating in a restaraunt...and most of the time trying to tell them nicely to fuck off just dosen't work...
