I have been involved in this scene for so long and through so many good and bad times that I know better than to respond to this shit talking with more shit talking. So:

I personally have been setting up shows for over six years now. 99% of the kids that go to shows haven't even been into punk/independent music for that long. I have set up more shows than the person who made this post has even been too. I have continued to set up shows even when it seemed like there was no point, when only 15 kids showed up, when there were no more venues, and when NO ONE ELSE SET SHOWS UP. I have given bands that never had a shot a chance to play. I have brought some of the best bands in the WORLD to play in YOUR HOME TOWN(s).

The bands that I have been in over the years have ALWAYS done positive things for the scene. We have always put local shows first, and never ask for anything for playing. Yes, when I book a show, my band plays. GUESS WHAT? EVERY PROMOTER THATS IN A BAND HOOKS HIS OWN BAND UP WITH SHOWS!!! If you don't like that you should try setting up a few of your own. I think you will quickly fold from the pressure and stress that doing shows can bring, not to mention the money you lose.

As Kris stated in my defense, I have opened a club to try to keep the scene going. When it got SHUTDOWN, I lost tons of money, but still, I continued to find NEW venues to do shows.

I do this, the band AND the shows, for all of YOU. I have always done this for the kids because it is something I BELIEVE IN.

It is extremely obvious that your problem is with me, not the band, so LEAVE THEM OUT OF IT. I find it very amusing that you will say this shit on the messageboard, and then still try to be our drummer's friend.

Yes that's right, I know who you are. I knew who you were before I even read the post, and I assure you that if this stupid charade continues, that it will end very, very badly. That's not a threat, just the truth. I have been down this road before, on your side even, and I know that there is no light at the end of the tunnel you have started into.
