Subject: Re: 3 days October hike - suggestions?
In reply to: P-A 's message, "3 days October hike - suggestions?" on 12:45:04 10/13/09 Tue

At this moment an early storm left a couple inches of snow in the White Mountains, and there may be more on Sunday.

My suggestion would be to do a hike with most of the distance lower down and then climb to a summit. This could be for example Zealand Trail with side trip to Zeacliff if a lot of snow, or go all the way to Bond if conditions favorable

Another choice might be Lincoln Woods Trail to Bondcliff Trail to Bond

Note that the Wilderness Trail bridge between the Bondcliff Trail and the Cedar Brook Trail has been removed so that loop is probably not a good idea now
