Subject: The Lion King - Large Group Musical Author: Mr. G [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 09:46:34 11/29/02 Fri Okay, so we have about 71 Thespians in the large group musical, "The Circle of Life" from "The Lion King." V is sourcing music for us. Rachel is going to tape a videocamera to her arm and call it a necessary prop so we can record the moment. So far I have the following choreographic inclusions: 1. Growling noises, and clawing with both hands in the direction of the audience. 2. Deon making a loud elephant-trumpeting noise and swinging his arm in front of his nose. Those are both excellent suggestions. But come on, now. If we're going to do this, and do this well (maybe that's the wrong word) we need to ADD MORE. Remember, this is Extreme Musical (in the vein of the media center's immensely successful Extreme Read program). So, say who you are! Say what you're going to add! Post 'em here! And if you're not in the event, give us suggestions. The camera thing is a must! hm...i think we should try really hard not to laugh when we are doing this for the judges, make them think we are waaay serious about this! or something. i dunno it just seems to be that much more funnier in my head. i cant wait to see their faces...heheheheheheh!

There's nothing preventing another 16 members from doing another Large Group Musical though ....

After our intro...we are quite then BAM!- the loudness of "IIIEEEE SUWANIA NANAWENANABA wenaba!!..." or whatever...er...how ever you'd spell that or say it, scaring the crap out of the judges. heh heh. then the animal people drop to the ground, "phwaor"ing and such. then other doing funny dancing. Then when some1 says "the circle of life" we do the ballet arm circle thingy and turn around on our tippie toes (do ya understand that...?) and deon almost steps on alexis (the mouse, right?) and then he sees her and flips out running around us all...then alexis bites deons ankle and deon falls to the floor crying and alexis eats deon (some how). yea...that's just a thought. lol. yea.
