 She clenched her ivories to hold back tears. Nares flared before starting. I was just an accident, my mother said. She left me when I was very young, leaving me to eat insects and hide from other, dangerous wolves. I just... She paused for a moment before going on. I just can't get over that feeling, you know? She was unsure of how to really describe it, so she left it at that.
