Subject: Batman Inference

I'm a college student and doing an English paper. I know this sounds weird, but since I'm a fan of batman, I decided to make that the subject of my paper.
To make a long story short, I am writing one section on the women in Batman/Bruce Wayne's lives. However, there is something in particular that I would like to elaborate on.

First and foremost I know Catwoman/Selina Kyle is Batman's true love. Even though he's had many loves, she is his number one. I just want to get that out the way.

But.....
Even though it's never admitted, I can't help but infer that he loves Ivy in his own little way and somewhat cares for her.

1)Even though Ivy is a true villain, it seems he understands her. I was watching the BTAS episode: House and Gardern. At the end he tells Robin "I believed her about one thing. For the first time in her life she was happy." This was said in a very sentimental way. (hopefully someone remembers this episode)
2)reading this also contributed to my view: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.villainousvamps.com/comicivybatlove.jpg">http://www.villainousvamps.com/comicivybatlove.jpg</a>
Considering that he was willing to give his life to save hers.

This as well as other things contributed to my inference that he has a small amount of affection/love for her, slightly cares about her, and feels sorry for her. It just seems he doesn't like to admit this. Of course Batman has many women he loves and cares about, but sometimes I can't help but get the feeling that Ivy is slightly one of them.

This is my view and inference, but I need others before I put this in my paper.
