The fem wolf places coal mitts cautiously infront of her as she enters the forest. Pinnae swivel foreward sharply at the crack of a twig, and her ruff bristles. The just blazing late summer sun could not send its rays through the canopy of leaves, and the terrain was cool. Stealthily creeping through the forest, the Canis Lupus Lupus continues on the search for prey. Since not part of a pack, no large prey was an option. Small mammals, plants, birds, and eggs would have to do. Nostrils dialate, sorting aromas floating towards the female. Rabbit is scented, and the wolf starts off silently towards the source. At about ten meters away, a lapine is in view. Crouching down, the femme checks herself and creeps towards her prey at a snail's pace. Carefully placing paws silently, she is about a two meters away when the long aditives of the mammal being hunted prick towards the wolf. Holding her breath, Dark stays as still as a stone. Hearing nothing, the rabbit continues to graze. Suddenly the wolf pounces up in a wide arc and leaps towards the rabbit, catching him under ink mitts. The wolf gives a yip of happiness as she lifts the lapine delicately in her labria and sets off to find a peacefull spot to have her snack.
