Date Posted: 21:59:15 09/08/08 Mon Author Host/IP: r74-192-210-82.bcstcmta02.clsttx.tl.dh.suddenlink.net/74.192.210.82 Thank you to all of the players who tried out for our team this year, and also the coaches who volunteered to evaluate and run our stations: Hunter Layton, Eric Ojeda, Michelle Cadavid, Stephanie Cadavid, Brendan Efaw, Brett Swendig, Chad Peter and Daniel Mescher. I had the difficult task of finding players to complete our squad from the 39 players who tried out. Without further ado, here is the list of players for the 2008-2009 Texas A&M Men’s Volleyball Team (in alphabetical order, by surname): Anderson, Keith Baldauf, Tyler Bosque, Allen Debowski, Derek Duhon, Mason Farmer, Ben Fellman, Bryan Fellman, Jason Hall, Cameron Henning, Scott Holzworth, Justin Inselman, Austin Kent, Michael Kolkhorst, Todd McDonald, Tyler Olson, Joe Olson, Jon Patschke, Kevin Perkins, Cory Preston, William Trevino, Tim Walker, Brett Wolfe, Brett Our first team function will be an optional meet-and-greet and play-day for the new team members this Wednesday, September 10 at 5:30 PM in Read 303 (where we had tryouts). We would love to have everyone on the team show up, but, it is optional. If your name is listed above and you won’t be at our meet-and-greet on Wednesday, please let me or Ben Farmer know ASAP. Our first official practice will be on Monday, September 15 at 5:30 PM in Read 303 (where we had tryouts). Practices will be every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30-8:00 PM. Practices this semester will be open, but they will be restricted. Because we are preparing our team for future competition, it is important that our team members get as many repetitions as possible during our limited practice time. In order to ensure this, we may ask visitors to stay out of some drills if the loss of repetitions is especially detrimental or if the flow of play is significantly altered. However, our university is built on traditions, and our volleyball team is no different, so our practices will remain open. If you have further questions regarding practice, team selection, etc., please feel free to contact me at jwagaman@gmail.com or (979)412-0473. Thanks and gig ‘em! -John Wagaman [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
