Clutter

Papers stacked
around me,
dishes waiting
laundry piled high.
I hurt and I am going
back to bed.
It is raining lightly
it is cold.
See Dick and Jane
run. Spot runs after
them with a stick.
He wants to play fetch.
They give him the stick
but he doesn't
understand.
It's cluttered from
a dog's eye view.

CDs piled randomly
in stereo patiently
attending to other
things
not the right things
never the right things
See Mother in the corner
a glass jar and a bouquet
breath makes a safe
hiding place
for curses.
It's just that they
always spill
and things look
cluttered
from a flower's eye view.
