First Generation III



Tonight, honoured to witness
history for the part
of my home state, I loved
since a child of three.
Seeing a friend
breaking out, all over the World.

This on a long weekend,
honouring men & women
who have given us/a, their lives
whether dead or alive.

First generation of Scots
in a New Jersey, I can relate
to without any scoff.
Thanks be, so fine of heart Jonesey,
for just about every single Sunday
you share with me & IBJ, those Bagpipes.

Blow on my friend Glenn
for us of International Brotherhood Jones
You, of whom I'm so proud,
has unofficialy has SMASHED the
Guniness World Record Holder
taken back from England
for a continous Radio broadcast
with stict rules, but still,
Glenn could and did, bring it on home
one hundred hours with forty two seconds,
for worldwide old souls, no matter what age
to ground zero, New Jersey, U.S.A.

Tonight also, besides seeing you & crew,
was blessed to meet, when 'homeward bound'
through New Jersey's NewArk Penn,
Station that is,
as WFMU, of free form send.

A man called Domenick,
riding same NJT bus as me..
He, with a superb Elvis Presley necktie
with U.S. Veteran badges from Korea or II
or possibly even Viet Nam?
Forgive please, NY Met Glenn,
we both be, New York Yankees fans!
But he's rooting for YOU, too!

Got to say, a thank you, to him
for putting his live on the line for us.
I so loathe wars.
But never the gallant who go,
despite any personal misgivings.

As also I honour, the ones who don't,
preferring to envision, seeds of peace
with entire globe, for the growth.
As in the musical loveJones,
the Glenn puts out
over the valley and craigs
of X.Ray Burns and ALL of I.B.J.,
translucent musical, poetic
paths with Light/s.
