Subject: texas storm

texas storm

this was written by candle light during what was predicted to be a major texas (austin texas) storm tonight… and i am absolutely terrified of texas storms because of the horrendous ones i have been through in my short time living here…however…as of now anyway…the storm has rather died and been weak….
i hope i am correct in thinking that it has died
but…well..…the night is young
i’m trying to post this before i get struck by lightning…
do you know what its like here during a major storm????
i have never seen this before
here’s the poem. i’ll shut up now.

texas storm

lightening splintering the sky
is it time to say goodbye?
windows shatter ~ dark doors chatter
when i’m dead ~ it just won’t matter

light~mare ~ where do you come from?
thunder struck ~ i come undone
do you do this just for fun?
like to see me shake and run?

people say they watch you here
in texas ~ they have no fear??
it’s daytime but skies are black
this is not a normal fact

i’ve unplugged all appliances
closed the blinds ~ i take no chances
but i cannot stop this thunder
please just put me 6 ft under

you know where i’m going here
you so make me live in fear
i can live by candlelight
kill my power ~ i’ll still fight

yeah you scare me for the moment
then you leave and take your torment
didn’t even last that long ~
wow, 5 minutes and you’re gone ??

well … what was that all about?
get into it or get out
hope you’re having a good time
i’ll watch you and sip my wine

i was scared but now i see
you’re just a light show for free
topped off with some sound effects
but you’re less than memorex

take yourself on one more round
try to devastate this town
trust me ~ i am your best victim
yet wounds ~ you could not inflect ‘em

ahhhh … i see you’re dying now
lost your force ~ you forgot how?
you have beauty ~ but no grace
we’re opposites ~ face to face

don’t return please ~ i don’t want you
or i’ll give you flames to haunt you
you think you are such a storm?
come back in some other form ~

try more vengeance ~ you gave in
i watched you begin again
better learn a whole new science
electric laws… breed defiance
